The new development of 42 dwellings in Kelsale is to be called Artillery Meadow. The name was suggested by our Village recorder, as in 1914 this particular field was used by the Royal Horse Artillery as their camp

With outdoor sports resuming the Parish Council remind visitors to Kelsale Recreation Ground and the Carlton Play Area that dogs must remain on a lead at all times. Owners are also reminded that any ‘mess’ must be ‘bagged’ and placed in the nearest ‘fido’ bin, or taken home for disposal.

The mobile library service will restart from Mon 6 July. It will run the full routes, but there will be restrictions on the vehicles.
Three mobile library services run across several hundred stops, as well as a home library service for people who cannot reach a library or mobile library stop.
Welcome, lying north of Saxmundham the Parish is located inland, between Aldeburgh and Southwold. The Parish of nearly 1,000, has a primary school, a light industrial estate, pub, social club and is surrounded by open farmland.
